Dr. Zobair M. Younossi is a distinguished hepatologist and internationally recognized authority in liver disease research and clinical care. He currently serves as Professor and Chairman of the Beatty Liver and Obesity Research program at Inova Health System in Falls Church, Virginia, where he established the renowned Inova Liver Center. A graduate of the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry (AOA 1989), Dr. Younossi completed his fellowship training at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation (1989-1995) while simultaneously earning a Master of Public Health with multiple honors from San Diego State University in 1995. His distinguished career includes significant leadership roles as Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus (2011-2024), President of Inova Medicine (2019-2024), and Chairman of Research for Inova (2005-2022), establishing him as a transformative figure in academic medicine and healthcare administration.
