Dr. Viswanath Venkatesh is a preeminent scholar and thought leader in business information technology whose extensive career has shaped understanding of technology adoption across organizations and society. He currently holds the distinguished position of Eminent Scholar and Verizon Chair of Business Information Technology at the Pamplin College of Business, Virginia Tech, following his appointment in Spring 2021. Prior to joining Virginia Tech, Dr. Venkatesh served on the faculty at the University of Maryland from 1997 to 2004 and the University of Arkansas from 2004 to 2021, where he established his reputation as a leading researcher in information systems.
