Dr. Jonathan Sevransky is a distinguished leader in critical care medicine, currently serving as Professor of Medicine and Associate Division Director for Critical Care in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. He directs the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Emory University Hospital and serves as Assistant Director for the Emory Center for Critical Care, positions he has held since joining Emory's faculty in 2011 after transitioning from Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Sevransky earned his medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine in 1991, completed his internal medicine residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital of Columbia University, and pursued advanced fellowship training in pulmonary medicine at Johns Hopkins University and critical care medicine at the National Institutes of Health. His clinical expertise encompasses the management of life-threatening conditions including sepsis, septic shock, and acute respiratory distress syndrome, establishing him as a respected clinician-educator with over three decades of specialized experience.
